an Overview of my work
Below is a collection of my work throughout my professional career. Projects highlighted below include, social media content, marketing collateral, blog writing, social media copywriting, logo re-branding, and consulting with an organization to find their most authentic voice and aesthetic.
Catrachito’s Deli & Carryout
Catrachitos Deli & Carryout is a family-owned Honduran restaurant located in Washington D.C. For the restaurant I modernized their aesthetic by creating a new logo that I then applied to all their marketing materials (business cards, letterhead and menu). I also created over 15 social media cards to be used to promote and market their dishes and specials. I redesigned their menu brochure and menu signage for their restaurant.
ALVAINA is an acronym for, ‘A Leadership & Learning Venture Accessible Internationally and Nationally for All. They believe that education is an ingredient that can be used to address problems through school, family, and community participation and cross-sectoral collaboration. Working with the ALVAINA Foundation, I re-fined their logo, which then applied to their marketing materials which included, letterhead, social accounts and brochures. Additionally, I created content for their social media platforms and other marketing collateral including, a communications and branding guide, event flyers, postcard and more!
Aside from committing to 10-months of service with AmeriCorps NCCC as a Corps Member, I also was a Media Representative for my team (Delta 4) and the Southern Region campus. As a Media Representative I was in responsible for reaching out to local media outlets in the communities we were serving, writing press releases, creating project portfolios that summarized each projects and accomplishments my team and I completed, monthly newsletter submissions, and social media postings which included photographs and copy. And finally, I shot and edited promotional videos to give more insight to the organization and the Life of a Corps Member.
Working with City Internships as their Program Assistant I gained experience in event planning and execution, leading by example for interns in the program and producing content that highlighted the experience of interns and promoted the mission of City Internships. I wrote on average 2 blogs a week, managed City Internships Social Media accounts and took photos during events. Linked below are blogs I wrote that circulated to ~6000 readers.
