What is AmeriCorps NCCC?
National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), or AmeriCorps NCCC is an AmeriCorps program that engages 18- to 24-year-olds in team-based national and community service in the United States. National Civilian Community Corps teams complete about four different six- to eight-week-long projects during their 10-month term of service. A video featuring the AmeriCorps NCCC’s Delta 4 as they reflect on their time serving in Brandenburg, Kentucky at Camp Piomingo. They discuss the the project and the benefits of AmeriCorps NCCC.
An Americorps NCCC reflection video during Delta 4’s Round 2 project which was a disaster round. Responding to the devastation from Hurricane Florence the team, Delta 4, worked with Fuller House Rebuilders, AmeriCorps Disaster Response Team (A-DRT), and the Utah Conservation Corps (UCC) on the North Carolina coast in November and December of 2018. There relief efforts helped communities who were effected by the flooding from Florence.
